On Wednesday, in the South African Premier League, Chippa United cruised to a 3-0 victory over Richards Bay, who were reduced to 10 players, thanks in large part to the shutout performance of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

The starting goalkeeper for the Super Eagles was playing in just his second game back from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Even though the visitors created little danger, Nwabali maintained his composure in goal.

Justice Chabalala gave Chippa the lead in the seventh minute.

Abdi Banda was sent off in the 54th minute, and Craig Martin extended the score barely five minutes after that.

The home team took advantage of this situation and scored a third goal in the 74th minute through Kayden Francis.

Nwabali now has eight clean sheets in seventeen appearances for the PSL this season. Ronwen Williams of Mamelodi Sundowns has ten clean sheets in thirteen games, putting him two behind Williams and leading the league.
