President Bola Tinubu has been asked by the non-governmental organization Save The Poor And Needy Charity Initiative (SPANCI) to prioritize economic growth initiatives immediately.
On Tuesday, the group unanimously decided.
As previously reported by BANKPAWA, presidential aspirants Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), respectively, both had complaints against Tinubu’s victory dismissed by the Presidential victory Petition Tribunal last week.
In response to the tribunal’s confirmation of Tinubu’s election, SPANCI urged the President to prioritize the welfare of the people.
In a statement released by the organization’s president, Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello, the group urged President Buhari to prioritize initiatives that would improve the country’s economy and the quality of life for its citizens.
In the interest of genuine democracy and social justice, we also demand that law enforcement officials prioritize the safety of citizens and their possessions by adhering to Article 14 (1) (2) (a), (b), and (c) and Article 34 (1) (a), (b), and (c) of our 1999 Constitution, as amended.
