A Nigerian woman has created the longest handmade wig in history

Helen Williams of Lagos, Nigeria, has created history by constructing the longest handmade wig in the world, earning her a spot in the Guinness World Records.

The Guinness World Records Twitter account announced the announcement on Tuesday, November 14.

Helen’s astonishing work measures 351.28 meters (1,152 ft 5 in) in length, as stated in the official Guinness World Records statement.

According to GWR, Helen worked on her project for nearly two million naira (£2,031; $2,493) and 11 days.

The base of the wig was painstakingly crafted from wig-cap netting and black cloth, which was then ingeniously connected to a cycling helmet.

Subsequently, Helen finished the hairpiece using an amazing 6,250 hair clips, 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, and 35 tubes of hair adhesive.

The message states:

Helen Williams of Lagos, Nigeria, has created a handcrafted wig that is 351.28 meters (1,152 ft 5 in) long, setting a new world record.
