During the first three quarters of 2023 (January–September), Nigeria earned N8.65 trillion in income, according to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In his budget presentation for 2024 to the National Assembly on Wednesday, Tinubu revealed this.

The president claimed that the nation reached 96% of its revenue goal for the first three quarters of 2023 when discussing the performance of the 2023 budget.

He mentioned that this year’s predicted income of N11.045 trillion is lower than the national goal of N18.32 trillion for 2024.

At the end of the third quarter, the federal government had received N8.65 trillion in total revenues or around 96% of the planned N8.28 trillion. We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities despite the difficulties.

Revenues for 2023, including those from the two supplemental budgets, were lower than the current expectation of N18.32 trillion.

According to BANKPAWA, Tinubu presented the National Assembly with the N27.5 trillion annual budget for 2024 on Wednesday.
