Additional N2.17 trillion budget signed by President Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu signed the N2.17 trillion 2023 Supplemental Budget into law.

Tinubu assented to the Supplementary Budget at his office in the Presidential Villa Abuja on Wednesday, in the presence of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Senate Majority Leader; Senator Olamilakan Adeola, Senate Committee on Finance Chairman; Representative Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, House Committee on Appropriations Chairman; George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; and Zachs Adedeji, Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, were also present for the signing ceremonies.

The goal of the Supplemental Budget is to supplement the 2023 budget that former President Muhammadu Buhari released.
