Romelu Lukaku has broken his silence over his loan move from Chelsea to Roma.
The Belgian claimed he is eager to get started with his new team.
Thursday, the former striker for Everton, Manchester United, and Inter Milan gave an interview to the press.
After spending last year on loan at Inter Milan, Lukaku attempted to sign a permanent move with the club this summer, but negotiations fell through.
Similarly, Juventus tried to sign him away from Chelsea but ultimately failed.
The Belgian player has been inspired to give his all for his new squad by the kind reception he has got from the club and its fans.
“Even as an opponent, I could feel the energy of the Stadio Olimpico and the kindness of the Romanisti.
Feels good to be a part of it today. I had the chance to talk to the proprietors lately, and I was inspired by their drive.
Now is the time to put in the effort, maintain a sense of modesty, and win games one at a time. I can’t wait to be a teammate that is helpful on and off the field.
