In light of the two million naira indulgence token, Borno South Senator Ali Ndume has threatened Senate President Godswill Akpabio with severe punishment.
According to Ndume, Akpabio’s remarks were unworthy of a senior statesman.
Ndume revealed to BBC Hausa Service that senators were given two million naira.
He did, however, express regret that senators had to endure Akpabio’s statement.
His words were, “Every senator got N2 million.” I say this with regret since he (Akpabio) is the one who started all of this trouble.
“He made a really inappropriate remark, and I quickly cautioned him that his words were unworthy of a senior citizen.
In fact, “if he keeps making unguarded statements and acting like we are kids, we are planning to take drastic action against him.”
