The United Nations (UN) has been threatened with a lawsuit by Minister of Women Affairs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, who claims the UN has mismanaged funds.
During a news conference on Monday in Abuja, Kennedy-Ohanenye threatened to shut down the country’s capital unless the United Nations stopped collecting donations on Nigeria’s behalf.
I am here as Nigeria’s Minister of Women’s Affairs to demand an accounting of all donations made to the United Nations in Nigeria’s name. We need to hear their version of events. You [UN] should apologize to the Nigerian people if you can’t give us this account. She warned of legal action if the report wasn’t delivered by November 15.
