Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah was singled out for praise by Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

After Gabriel Jesus was injured, Rio Ferdinand claimed that Nketiah is a good player who may be a key component of Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge this season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta surprised everyone by starting Nketiah against Nottingham Forest in the club’s season opener on Saturday.

Nketiah has a terrific work ethic and is very conscientious in the background. His ability to score goals is undeniable, regardless of your opinion of him. Now he’s cleared to finish.

Someone who scored 51 goals for Man City’s starting center forward helped them win the league.

Arsenal may not have “that guy” to do it, but they have the players to get the job done.

His worth is really high. He proved that last year when Jesus went hurt, he wasn’t forgotten for a while,” Ferdinand said on TNT Sports.
