A continual raid of hotspots and criminal hideouts has been ordered by CP Tolani Alausa, the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police.
The state police command, BANKPAWA learned, also rethought its security setup to better deal with the heightened threats of fall.
A statement released to BANKPAWA on Friday by Police Public Relations Officer SP Asinim Butswat said that the Commissioner had ordered Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and other operatives to conduct constant raids of hotspots and criminal hideouts, to increase surveillance and patrols in all areas of the state, and to remain vigilant at all times.
Police reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining public order and lowering crime rates. The public was praised for their involvement and the information it provided law enforcement concerning illegal activity.
