The forward for Bayer Leverkusen, Victor Boniface, has been linked to a move to Newcastle United of the Premier League.
This summer, Bayer Leverkusen paid Union St. Gilloise of the Belgian Pro League €12 million to acquire Boniface.
The strong forward has stood out after scoring nine goals and assisting on three more in 10 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.
The Sun reports that scouts from Newcastle United attended Nigeria’s friendly versus Saudi Arabia last weekend in Portugal.
The 22-year-old didn’t score but was very dangerous for the Saudis, who eventually scored an own goal because of the havoc he caused in their defense.
When it comes to beefing up the physicality of his frontline, Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has his sights set on Boniface to join the likes of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
