In an interview, Victor Boniface expressed his ambition to perform as well for the Super Eagles as he does for his club team.
After dazzling for Union St. Gilloise and Bayer Leverkusen, Boniface was recently invited to join the Super Eagles.
The 22-year-old finished last season tied for first in scoring in the UEFA Europa League.
The attacker has been spectacular since joining Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Boniface has contributed four goals and an assist in four games for Xabi Alonso’s squad.
“It’s good to be here with the national team, I have enjoyed my stay with the boys so far,” Boniface said to the media in Uyo.
To quote, “I hope I will be able to score regularly for the Super Eagles as I have done for my club.”
On Sunday, Boniface will play for the Super Eagles against Sao Tome and Principe, hoping for his first professional appearance.
