Bruno Fernandes explains why Manchester United lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich

After Wednesday’s 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes laid the responsibility on Erik ten Hag’s squad.

After the Cameroonian international goalkeeper made a mistake against Bayern Munich, Fernandes said this to rally support for Onana.

The Portuguese international admonished Onana, who let a low shot from Leroy Sane to sneak into the net in Bayern’s Champions League match at the Allianz Arena.

After the game, Onana, who had buried his head in the ground and been consoled by teammates, said that he had “let the team down” and was to blame for Man United’s loss to Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

For Fernandes, “it’s not about Andre,” he remarked in the postgame interview.

The goalie, Andre, is fantastic.

“He will continue to provide us with a wealth of points and saves. He has no need to feel guilty about anything.

“We have to take the blame as a team,” they said, “that we are going to go through this moment together because we are strong as a team.”

On Saturday, Man United will play Burnley in a Premier League encounter.
