Posted by The Chelsea staff has voted to nominate Carney Chukwuemeka for August’s Player of the Month.
The Nigerian-born midfielder is up against five others for the individual award.
On day two of the season, Chelsea lost 3-1 against West Ham at the London Stadium. Chukwuemeka scored his first goal for the club in that loss.
The kid wiggled by the defenders on the home team and buried a shot.
A hamstring issue has forced Chukwuemeka to the bench.
Early next month should see him back in action.
