Former Manchester United great Alan Brazil says the team is upset with manager Erik ten Hag for his treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Remember that last year, Ronaldo’s contract was terminated by Man United after he made some negative comments about Ten Hag, the club, and some of the players in an interview with Piers Morgan.
The Brazilians also claimed that Ten Hag is not popular with the Red Devils’ players, who are reportedly unhappy with his management and publicly disagreeing with the Dutchman’s appraisal of Jadon Sancho during practices.
You may remember that Ten Hag had been criticized following Man United’s dismal start to the new season, in which they have lost six of their eleven games in all competitions.
After Man United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal at Emirates in September, the former Ajax coach publicly criticized Sancho’s work levels in training.
“Do you know what I was hearing, and you’ve got to be careful what you report on, but this is what I have heard from a United player who told someone we know very well,” Brazil stated on his talkSPORT broadcast on Wednesday morning.
He claimed the team was refusing to have the manager around. They won’t accept him, ever.
Everyone seems to agree that Sancho is a terrific man who works his tail off, and they are all appalled by the way he handled Cristiano. Players, he claimed, “are not having him.”
