Divine Oduduru, a Nigerian sprinter, was banned for six years due to two separate doping offenses.

The judgement was made public on Thursday by the AIU (Athletic Integrity Unit).

“Overwhelming evidence” existed against him, according to AIU.

There was illegal substance possession and attempted illegal substance or technique use.

In 2022, teammate Blessing Okagbare was suspended for 11 years for doping, and Oduduru’s case was connected to that.

Oduduru, meanwhile, denied any wrongdoing throughout the probe.

The 27-year-old, who has a personal best of 9.86 seconds in the 100 meters, was disqualified in the 100 meters in the Tokyo Olympics, but he made it to the semi-finals of the 200 meters.

At the 2014 World Junior Athletics Championships, he earned silver in the 200-meter event.
