Fayose threatens the PDP, “Expel Wike at your peril.”

Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has urged his former party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to reconsider its plan to eject Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT).

Fayose said that the PDP should be wary of removing Wike because of his influence within the party.

During an appearance on Hard Copy on Channels Television, the ex-governor gave the warning.

Fayose has said, “I will never join another political party the moment I am no longer a member of the PDP. No matter how good or horrible the APC is, I will never join.

The common sentiment is to get rid of Wike in any way possible. They are playing with fire, in my opinion. Despite terrible circumstances or indifferences, the first thing in your family should not be to drive away your wife or husband.

You ignore Wike, you sack Wike, you fight Wike at your own peril. Wike is a power in the PDP and beyond the PDP. He’s a strong and capable man.

Since Wike voted for All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu in the previous presidential election, there have been calls for the PDP to eject him from the party.

The new minister of the FCT has recently said that he cannot be kicked out of the former ruling party.
