Brazil’s World Cup qualifying squad no longer includes Manchester United forward Antony.
His ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin has just made new charges, and UOL has published those allegations in his own country.
Antony made a statement in June, claiming that Ms. Cavallin’s allegations of domestic abuse against him were unfounded.
On Monday, the footballer claimed he has “faith” that the “truth about my innocence” will be uncovered by the “ongoing police investigations.”
New allegations have not yet been addressed by Manchester United.
Brazil, however, has decided to sub in Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal for Antony.
The month of February will see the Selecao take on Bolivia and Peru.
