Ganduje inaugurates Otu as the leader of the APC campaign council in Imo

Abdullahi Ganduje, chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has launched the APC’s campaign council for the governorship race in Imo, scheduled for November 11.

On Saturday, while leading the drill, Ganduje told the people of Imo that Governor Hope Uzodinma’s reelection was crucial to the state’s continued progress.

He said President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Cross River State Governor and Senator Bassey Otu to head the campaign council was a clear indication of how important the election is to the President.

He urged the people of Imo to use Uzodinma’s cross-ethnic goodwill and sage advice to ensure the state’s continued growth and prosperity.

To help get Imo to the next level, “President Tinubu has promised to do everything in his power,” he said. “Governor Uzodinma is a loving, intelligent, dexterous, and cooperative gentleman to the President and APC in general,” he added.

Uzodinma spoke and praised Tinubu for his endorsement and the APC’s national leadership for their help and, in particular, the many appointments they made for Imo.

He urged the people of Imo to rally behind the APC in the upcoming election, saying that the APC in Imo is more than just a political party.

It appears that the APC is the only party in Imo that has prepared adequately for the upcoming election in November, hence it is safe to say that the APC is a party to beat.

There’s no doubt that my people are ready for D-Day and full of optimism. This means that what has been implied will become official.

We have begun the process of making amends. We are here to listen to any and all grievances from any and all of our great party’s leaders and people.

We have seen large defections from other political parties, and recently many of them have returned to join the party.

As he spoke, he said that “as I speak to you, for the majority of the opposition political parties in Imo state, their party structures and the majority of their leaderships have joined the APC.”

When asked why they came, Otu added, “only to reemphasize the reelection of Gov. Uzodimma by saying Yes! Yes! Yes!”

He expressed gratitude to the people of Imo for their support of the APC in the most recent national election.

Governors Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Mai Mala-Buni of Yobe, and Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina, together with ministers and members of the APC National Working Committee, attended the inauguration.
