Ondo State’s governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has denied rumors that he had returned to Nigeria from a medical stay in Germany.
However, Akeredolu promised that he will soon return to the country to carry on his role as governor.
On Sunday, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, published a statement in which he stressed the importance of the governor’s full health before his return to the country.
Some people believed the governor had returned from his medical leave after seeing a video of him stepping out of a helicopter over the weekend.
Olatunde said that Akeredolu plans to return to the state soon while acknowledging the enthusiasm of locals and the governor’s supporters and well-wishers.
The statement claims that the viral video was shot during the Governor’s campaign for the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Florida’s governor, Akeredolu, is looking forward to being back in his home state. The outpouring of affection and confidence has left him feeling inspired to keep working toward a better future for Ondo State.
