The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has been advised by the Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) to refrain from enacting policies or taking measures that are intended to harm political opponents.
In a statement signed by National President Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello and released to the media on Tuesday, the organization issued the directive.
KACRAN also demanded that the minister show equal justice and fairness to all citizens.
KACRAN believes that President Tinubu’s appointment of Barrister Wike, the first Southerner to hold this post, will help bring Nigerians together and build bridges of understanding.
A new strategy to build “mutual relationship and brotherhood among Nigeria’s confederating units” is represented by “Barrister Wike’s appointment,” the statement said.
The Minister was asked to continue to view criticism as a learning experience rather than a personal attack.
We further remind him that, as FCT Minister, he occupies a position among the most delicate in Nigeria, due to the wide range of interests represented in Abuja.
KACRAN recommended that this “once in a lifetime opportunity” be used wisely and openly to leave a legacy of growth and harmony.
The statement urged everyone involved to back Wike as he works to improve life in Nigeria for the better.
