Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, had emergency back surgery on Tuesday, the club announced.
Guardiola had the operation in Barcelona, where he is currently recuperating.
The international break in September means the 52-year-old will miss Man City’s Premier League games against Sheffield United on the road and at home against Fulham.
As of today, Pep Guardiola has recovered from a routine back surgery.
To to the club’s official statement, “Everyone at Manchester City wishes Pep a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in Manchester soon.”
Guardiola’s team, Man City, won 1-0 against Newcastle United last weekend.
