Arsenal’s summer recruit Kai Havertz is reportedly suffering because supporters at the Emirates are allegedly not fond of him, according to former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot.
Havertz had a disappointing final season at Chelsea, scoring just nine goals in 47 games.
When Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decided to sign him during the summer transfer window for £65 million, many of the club’s fans were not pleased.
Havertz struggled early on in his time as a center midfielder for the Gunners.
The Germany international played in nine games without scoring or assisting on a goal.
But in last weekend’s 4-0 rout of Bournemouth, the 24-year-old finally got his first goal for Arsenal.
To which Stevie Nicol said, “I understand what you’re saying, ‘the game is not done since it’s 2-0. “The big picture is crucial,” Melchiot stated (via HITC).
Havertz is not popular with the fans. He’s having a hard time with it. As soon as he takes possession of the ball, he will be under intense pressure.
