Mr. Adinoyi Aroke, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State, has resigned.
According to BANKPAWA research, he has been a PDP member since 1998.
In a letter dated September 7, 2023, and addressed to the ward chairman of the PDP in Oboreke Eba Ward, Okehi Local Government, Aroke, who had previously served as state financial secretary of the party and as Special Adviser to former Governor Ibrahim Idris on poverty reduction, announced his resignation.
He claims to have been a PDP supporter since 1998, however his membership was terminated after he submitted a resignation letter to PDP chairman Oboreke Eba.
Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a senatorial candidate for the PDP in the most recent election, hails from the local government of Okehi.
After being a member of the PDP since 1998, “I hereby write to tender my letter of resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.”
This letter of resignation officially terminates my membership in the party effective immediately.
I’d like to take this occasion to let my growing political family and friends in and out of Kogi State know that I’ll be consulting with them before announcing my next political move.
