The national men’s basketball team is currently ranked 37th in the world.
As a result of their recent drop in the rankings, D’Tigers are currently ranked sixth in Africa.
The team’s dismal performance in Lagos at the qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympics was a contributing factor to the decline.
The top four countries in Africa are South Sudan, Ivory Coast, Angola, and Tunisia.
Egypt, Cape Verde, Senegal, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo round out the top 10 teams in the African continent.
