Reports that Alex Iwobi will be departing the Toffees this summer have been shot down by Everton boss Sean Dyche.
With fewer than 24 hours remaining in the summer transfer window, Iwobi has been heavily linked with a move to Fulham.
The Nigerian international’s future has been the subject of much conjecture, but Dyche had a simple reaction for the Liverpool Echo: “It’s noise at the moment.”
Iwobi’s contract at Goodison Park only has one year left on it, and negotiations for an extension have stalled.
Fans of the Merseysiders will be disappointed by the departure of the 27-year-old star player.
The dynamic midfielder was honored as Everton’s best performer from the previous campaign.
