After Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Wolves, manager Erik ten Hag said that he had to substitute out Lisandro Martinez at halftime due to injury.
But Ten Hag still has faith that the defender won’t be out for long.
On Monday at Old Trafford, Martinez had a rough first half and was booked for a rash tackle on Pedro Neto.
After the game, Ten Hag denied that Martinez’s substitution was made to spare the Argentinean international a red card.
“He’s having a little trouble with his tendon in his ankle,” he said.
I don’t see it as a major deal, but we’ll see. This week should tell us how he’s doing.
