According to Mail Sport, Tottenham Hotspur has initiated preliminary conversations with Chelsea about acquiring Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku’s future is in doubt since he has been cut off by Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of the Blues.
Pochettino decided not to use the 30-year-old at training camp as the Premier League club attempts to trade or release him.
Last year, Lukaku played for Inter Milan on loan from Chelsea, where he signed for a then-record £97.5 million.
The Belgian was supposed to make his transfer to Inter permanent but instead chose to join Inter’s rival, Juventus.
Spurs are interested in signing Lukaku, so he might still play in the Premier League this year.
Since Harry Kane has joined Bayern Munich, the North London club is on the market for a new striker to replace him.
