Napoli coach Rudi Garcia has given an explanation for his team’s penalty kick non-take by Victor Osimhen in the 4-0 rout of Leece.
After a TikTok video made fun of his penalty miss against Bologna, Napoli’s habitual penalty taker, Osimhen, decided to sit out for the second game in a row.
Since Osimhen didn’t kick off the game, someone else obviously gave the ball to Politano. After the game, Garcia explained, “I usually write a list so there is an order and no war over who takes a penalty.”
It seems like the opposite is true here; everyone seems to be in a hurry to pass the ball to the next player.
The 24-year-old tallied the winning goal for the league’s best team.
After the halftime, the Nigerian striker replaced Giovanni Simeone and promptly scored the Partenopei’s second goal.
