Niger Tonardoes Suspended by NPFL Following Security Breach

Posted by

Niger Tornadoes were fined N3 million by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Board for their inadequacy of protection during last weekend’s home match against Rangers.

Rangers defeated the Ikon Allah Boys 2-0.

The NPFL claims that tornadoes broke its rules by not only failing to regulate the game but also its followers.

Within 48 hours, the Minna club can file an appeal against this ruling.

As a result, Niger tornadoes are fighting for survival.

With 24 points after 22 games, the team is currently in the 18th spot in the NPFL standings.
