Posted by Commandant Olusola Odumosu, spokesman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command, has been promoted to the position of Commandant FCT.
Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General of the Corps, explained that the transfer of authority from Commandant Peter Maigari to Commandant Odumosu was necessary so that the latter could attend a year-long strategic course at the National Security Institute.
Dr. Audi praised Odumosu for his diligence, perseverance, dedication, and loyalty while at the National headquarters, and he praised him for his commitment to his job and his professional demeanor.
He claimed that during Odumosu’s time as Director of Public Relations, the Corps underwent a number of innovative changes that contributed to a more positive public perception.
He stipulated that all transitional arrangements between the outgoing and new Commandants must be finalized by 15 August 2023 at the latest.
The new FCT Commandant responded by thanking the CG for trusting him with this important role and promising to maintain his unwavering dedication to the Corps’ mission and values.
CSC Babawale Zaid Afolabi, meanwhile, has been named the new Director of Public Relations at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja by the CG.
