The confirmation process for Mr. Ola Olukoyede to lead the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun in the Senate.
Olukoyede and other Commission management are currently at the National Assembly.
According to BANKPAWA, Olukoyede’s appointment as Executive Chairman of the EFCC was authorized by President Bola Tinubu last week.
The appointment is for an initial four-year term that may be extended with Senate approval.
Almost four months have passed since Tinubu suspended the previous head of the anti-graft agency, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, and Olukoyede has now been appointed to fill his position.
