No fewer than thirty-three people were found guilty of online fraud and jailed by the EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Command.

Justices Ladiran Akintola, Adebukola Olajide, and M.O. Ishola of the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan imposed varying prison terms as a consequence of these convictions.

Justices Uche Agomoh of the Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, and B.B. Adebowale of the Ogun State High Court in Abeokuta handed down penalties to other defendants.

Each of the convicted individuals was originally charged with a single count of cybercrime.

After being captured in different places throughout Oyo and Ogun states, the 33 individuals started their journey to correctional facilities, according to Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The investigations that followed uncovered their complicity in a wide range of crimes committed via the internet.
