Left defender Zaidu Sanusi will be evaluated after sustaining an injury in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to Porto manager Sergio Conceicao.
After suffering a defeat, Sanusi was replaced by Wendell during the intermission.
Conceicao speculated that the Nigerian player had suffered a muscular injury during play.
The Portuguese player also said that the defender will undergo more testing to determine the extent of his ailment.
Jose Mário went home since he was exhausted. Zaidu “may have a muscle problem and we thought he shouldn’t be in the second half,” the manager was reported as saying by the club’s official website.
Porto won the match 3-1 thanks to three first-half goals.
