Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq, according to the Spanish daily Fichajes.
Sadiq suffered an ACL injury early in the 2022–2023 season, forcing him to miss a significant portion of the season.
The 26-year-old has played in every match for Real Sociedad this season in both the LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League.
When the transfer window reopens in January, Manchester United may make a play for the tall striker.
In the offseason, Manchester United acquired Rasmus Hojlund from Serie A club Atalanta.
Hojlund, despite the club’s massive investment on him, has failed to make a significant effect at Old Trafford.
Players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony have also gotten off to slow starts this year.
