Toto Local Government Area political appointees of Governor Abdullahi Sule and other stakeholders have been asked to stay focused and unified by the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi.
He also encouraged them to back the current administration in office for the sake of the state’s future prosperity.
On Tuesday in Lafia, the speaker made the appeal as he welcomed Sule’s political appointees from Toto LGA.
He said that a coordinated effort by political appointees and other interested parties will not only hasten development but also foster stability in the region.
I want to thank God for my success in court and you for sharing in my joy at the outcome.
I’d like to urge everyone involved to ignore the naysaying of the opposition. Let’s keep our heads down and collaborate well.
Saying, “The struggle is not for me, the Attorney General, or any one of you, but for the progress and development of Toto Local Government Area,” he made it clear that he was not fighting for personal gain.
The speaker continued by warning the political appointees not to be duped by those who don’t want the best for Toto.
He also stressed the need of the political appointees adhering to government policy and directions at all times.
For the sake of tranquility, prosperity, and the growth of both our local community and the state as a whole, he pleaded.
Attorney General and Justice Commissioner Labaran Magaji reportedly told the speaker that they were visiting his home to offer their congratulations on his recent court triumph.
God is assisting you because you care about Toto LGA and the state as a whole, sir.
We praise God that you were able to overcome the barriers to becoming the speaker and prevail in court.
“This success is not yours alone but ours and for the people of Toto Local Government Area,” he proclaimed.
The Attorney General pledged his or her undying allegiance and unwavering backing to the speaker.
The Justice Department’s Commissioner informed everyone involved, “Be rest assured that we are going to work and support you to succeed.”
The state’s APC secretary, Mr. Yarus Dagusa, and the secretary of the state’s Teachers Service Commission, Mr. Usman Shafa, were among those who paid the speaker a visit, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
