A grounded Aerocontractors plane has forced the temporary closure of Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Sunday’s announcement from the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr. James Odaudu, confirmed the news.
The statement claims that an Aerocontractors aircraft from Lagos to Abuja landed safely at the airport, but while trying to taxi off the runway, the plane became mired in the grass.
On Sunday morning, a Boeing 733 with the National and Registration Marks 5N-BYQ was involved in an accident.
