The head of the Nigerian Army’s 2nd Division, Major General Valentine Okoro, has called on the troops under his command to maintain order and calm during the governor’s race in Kogi State on November 11.

He also urged them to maintain a high standard of discipline and courage over the course of their work to guarantee a peaceful election in the state.

During a business trip to Lokoja, he shared this piece of advise with the Nigerian Army soldiers stationed at Chari Maigumeri Barracks.

Kogi, Kwara, Edo, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti are the seven states that make up the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army.

“As soldiers, you must exhibit high level of neutrality, professionalism, and discipline before, during, and after the upcoming governorship election in the state,” General Okoro told the troops.
