The Appeal Court has ruled that at the time of the elections, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was not a member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
The Court ruled that the governor lacked the necessary qualifications to run for office.
In addition, the justices ruled that Governor Yusuf’s appeal should be dismissed since the panel erred in not disqualifying him.
