The joint security force was able to eliminate an illegal refinery in Imo and three terrorists in Borno

According to the Nigerian Army, the NSCDC and TANTITA Security Services worked together to locate and destroy two remodeled oil bunkering camps in Egbema West, Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area, Imo State.

According to a statement released by Army Public Relations Director Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the illegal refining site was entirely shut down, with 53 sacks of unrefined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and 44 barrels of refined AGO. Together, the three reservoirs had an estimated capacity of 30,000 liters.

He further mentioned that four illegal refining camps in the Opumami Community of Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, were demolished by the combined force.

Three wooden boats, six ovens, six reservoirs, eleven drums of illegally refined AGO, one huge reservoir laden with stolen crude oil, thirty-eight sacks of stolen crude oil, and two tapping hoses were destroyed by anti-oil-theft operators, according to the statement.

On Thursday, the 192nd Battalion and the 26th Task Force Brigade Garrison, both of which are part of the Hybrid Force, launched offensive operations in the Gwoza Local Government Areas of Borno State, namely in the towns of Gobara, Ambaga, and Madachi.

It was reported by Nwachukwu that “the troops neutralized three Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one Beretta pistol, 17 rounds of 7.62mm Special Ammunition, four rounds of nine mm ammunition, and a dane gun.”
