The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has spoken out against skewed media coverage of election petitions.
On Friday, Hon. Francis Orogu, chairman of the PDP in the state, issued a statement condemning the use of “fabricated narratives” to influence public opinion.
Concerned that crucial witness testimony was being skewed in the ongoing governorship election case in Lafia, he voiced his displeasure.
Orogu pointed out that this isn’t the first time that agents of the rival All Progressives Congress (APC) and the governor of the state have used such techniques.
However, according to Orogu, the PDP would not defend itself against false accusations spread by state propaganda outlets or slanted social media accounts.
