Posted by New Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khalil Halilu has tasked the management team of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) with giving their full support to the agency’s refocused mission.
On Monday, as Halilu began receiving briefings from the agency’s administration and senior staff, he issued the command.
He promised that under his leadership, NASENI would operate with an approach that encouraged and rewarded new ideas and feedback.
We will take into account all of our past blunders while formulating our long-term strategy. We are not here to engage in a witch hunt or to rehash old grievances, he emphasized.
The new EVC/CEO requested comprehensive briefing notes from the management team and senior staff at last week’s initial management meeting following his assumption of office. These notes will be presented to him on Monday, September 11, 2023.
The briefings have begun, and in the coming weeks, the group will travel to other NASENI locations across the country.
On September 2, 2023, President Bola Tinubu named Halilu Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI.
The new EVC/CEO has made commercializing the agency’s research and innovation a top priority, along with expanding NASENI’s role in facilitating technology transfer to Nigeria from other countries.
