The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has ordered an immediate halt to truck processing via virtual parks on the Eto platform.

The suspension was announced on Wednesday by Mr Irabor Akonoman, Head of Operations at Truck Transit Park Ltd. (TTP) in Lagos.

According to Akonoman, the suspension is part of ongoing efforts to streamline and optimize the port ecosystem’s operational operations.

“As a result, the operation of all virtual parks on the eto platform is immediately halted and will remain so until further notice.”

“Without exception, all trucks arriving at the ports must have originated from an NPA-approved physical truck park, pre-gate, or export processing terminal.”

“Please be advised that all categories, including Reefers containers and Fish trucks, will continue to have unrestricted access to the port but will pass through an approved park before arriving,” he stated.

“This directive may necessitate changes in the operations of stakeholders.” We would appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

“Your cooperation and understanding during this period of evaluation and adjustment are greatly appreciated, as we collectively work towards improving and enhancing the efficiency of our port operations,” he said.
