Posted by The governor’s wife of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has pledged to pay for the education of an orphaned eight-year-old kid whose father was murdered by unnamed assailants.
Hajiya Huriyya, who met with the kid on Thursday, said she would enroll him in military school if he expressed an interest in learning.
She also stated that she will provide financial support to the youngster and his mother.
Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, the state’s commissioner for women, children, and social development, had offered the government’s help to the boy.
BANKPAWA recalls that earlier this month, a video went viral showing an eight-year-old kid grieving the death of his father and threatening to exact revenge.
On Thursday, when the kid was received by the governor’s wife, she begged him to let go of his desire for vengeance.
