It was announced on Friday by Vice President Kashim Shettima that 1,000 new homes would be built in the states of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi, Katsina, Niger, and Benue thanks to funding from President Bola Tinubu.
This was announced in a press release by the Vice President’s Office Director of Information, Mr. Olusola Abiola.
Shettima, the statement claims, dropped a hint about the launch of projects completed by the Borno State Government in the past 100 days.
According to the Vice President, the Federal Government’s housing initiatives were a part of a larger strategy to deal with disputes in the north.
Shettima added that Tinubu gave N50 billion to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to launch the non-violent Pulaku program to help the people of the Northwest cope with the situation.
For the Fulani people living in Kaduna and Benue states, President Tinubu has given the green light to build a thousand homes in the states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue, complete with schools, medical clinics, veterinary hospitals, and ranches.
The Vice President explained that President Tinubu had insisted that all of the victims be transported.
He continued by saying that the President’s development efforts would be felt across the entire country.
