To Clear His Name, Yoruba Group Urges President Tinubu to Step In During Rivers Crisis

In light of the current political situation in Rivers State, the Progressives Yoruba Youth Congress (PYYC) has urged President Bola Tinubu to step in.

While speaking to reporters, the group’s president, Akintunde Adedeji, urged Tinubu to take a stand on the situation in Rivers State by ordering all government agencies to obey the law.

What did he say?

“The 27 ex-members of the Rivers State House of Assembly should consult an attorney to learn about their options moving forward, given their actions thus far suggest that they have not benefited from competent legal representation.

“We say this because if their escapade causes a disturbance in Nigeria, the rest of the country will hold them—along with Wike, their boss—personally and collectively responsible.”
