Kyle Walker, a defender for Manchester City, has claimed that he came “close” to signing for Bayern Munich over the summer.

Now, though, the Etihad Stadium team has agreed to terms with the England international player.

Champions of the Premier League have locked up Walker until at least 2026, despite interest from the Bundesliga’s top team.

However, the 33-year-old revealed that he was contemplating a transfer to Bayern.

This is football, and anything can happen.

A choice must be made. Everything is subject to change. It just wasn’t meant to be. Had I gone, would I have had fun? Obviously, I would have done it.

However, “you can’t underestimate what this club has done in the last six or seven years” since “this club is a great club.”
