Despite Liverpool rejecting Al Ittihad’s offers, the club still thinks it can sign Mohamed Salah.
The Saudi Arabian team offered up to £150 million, but the Reds rejected the offer.
The offer included a base salary of £100 million, with potential incentives increasing that to £150 million.
According to Sky Sports News’s lead reporter, “the Saudis are convinced it is inevitable that they will eventually get Mo Salah,” the Saudis are confident they will acquire Salah.
“He’s on a list of players they want, but they also respect Liverpool, and when the message gets back that the player is not for sale, they’ll respect that,” he said.
They think of him as the cherry on top. Having the most well-known Arab player perform in an Arab country would be a huge coup for them. They believe he may be a little further away than they had hoped.
