The NAF claims to have cleared the Northeast of any remaining terrorists.
The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai was responsible for displacing the terrorists, as stated in a statement released by NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet on Tuesday.
According to Gabkwet, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), had given the troops orders that led to this occurrence.
According to the statement, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai launched an early morning air attack at Suwa in the Kala Balge LGA of Borno State to remove the residual of terrorists, insurgents, and other criminals operating in the region.
To target troops on patrol along main routes to Bama and Mafa local government districts, militants, according to Gabkwet’s intelligence reports, had concentrated in the area.
“Further intelligence also revealed that the same group of terrorists had perfected plans to attack troops stationed around Rann in Kalabalge LGA,” he said.
A spokesman for the NAF stated that the air attacks had a positive effect, killing several terrorists and destroying bandit strongholds.
Air Component Commanders across all joint operating theaters were issued a similar call to action in the statement.
