Xavi Hernández, manager of Barcelona, has denied rumors that Ansu Fati will be transferred to Real Madrid.
Despite finally being healthy this past summer, Fati has seen limited playing time under Xavi.
This has sparked rumors that the 20-year-old is unhappy at the Nou Camp and wants to leave.
Fati’s possible transfer to the Clásico was discussed this week.
Xavi told reporters on Friday, in response to questions regarding the rumors, “Is it a joke or what?
Last week, I had a really firm grasp on Ansu. He will be an invaluable part of the team’s future success. My intentions are crystal obvious.
I don’t get all the fuss that’s been made over him. We expect him to perform well because he is a member of Barça. We are pleased with his recent showings because he is in fantastic shape. Since this is completely incomprehensible, we’d want to end our conversation immediately.
